He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Lee Canipe and Minnie Mae Williams Canipe; his grandparents, John Wesley Canipe and Cora Sparks Canipe; and his wife Libby.
He is survived by: his siblings, William Lee "Red" Canipe, Billy Joe Canipe, Nancy Smart Eaker, Doris Santora and Jerry Daniel Canipe; his sons, Jeremy Todd Canipe (Nicole Byers Canipe) of Charlotte and Brett Daniel Canipe (Terra Severt Canipe) of Sherrills Ford; his grandchildren, Wilson Andrew Canipe (Wil), Madilyn Canipe (Madi), Connor Hampton Canipe and Noah Andrew Canipe; and his sisters, Patsy Berry and Ernestine Keziah.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church (4136 Mt Pleasant Rd, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
