He was predeceased by: his father Harry Shaffer; and his wife Blanche Mortimer Shaffer. He is survived by: his children, Randy Shaffer (Judy), Patricia Rhodes and Kathleen Chylinski; his grandchildren, Christine King, Ian Clawson (Marcy), Stacey Chylinski and Jennifer Shaffer; his great grandchildren, Emerson and Guy; and his brothers, Earl and George Shaffer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
