It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Laverne Washam of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Washam and Lucille Turner Washam. He is survived by: his wife Joan Parker Washam; his children, Heath Washam (Meghan) of Greensboro and Mariah York (Jason) of Sherrills Ford; his sisters, Dawn Nance of Troutman, Trish Wallace of Little River, SC and Boots Humphries of Mooresville; and his grandsons, Holden York, Nate York, Greyson Washam, Owen Washam, Carter Washam and Marlee Miller.
