He is survived by: his wife Emily Jones Keener; his children, Lindsey Gambrielle Keener, Tammi Abernethy (Miles) of Long Shoals, Taffy Keener of Lincolnton and Scott Stamey (Wendy) of Newton; his grandchildren, Emma, Bailey, Zane, Landon, Devan, Jessica and Randi; and his brother Charlie Keener (Dolly) of Lincolnton.
