William Gettys Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Gettys (Shelby, North Carolina), who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Wanda Grant Gettys. He is survived by: his wife Linda Pielow Gettys; his stepsons, Wakelee Purvis (Tammy) of Spartanburg, Andrew Purvis (Nikki) of Greenville, TN, Jacob Ziesmer (Kristin) of Taylors, SC and Charles Wright of Shelby; his brother Steve Gettys of Shelby; his grandchildren, Amanda, April, Axle, Oliver, Aurora, Rosalie and Adeline; and his nieces, Christy Gettys Slone and Ashley Gettys.
