She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Ligon and Ruth Carroll Ligon; and her husband Phillip McMurry. She is survived by: her daughters, Stacy Thomas of Shelby and Lynn Potter (Jerry) of New Bern; her siblings, Donna Coyle, Randy Ligon of Blacksburg and Rodney Ligon of Blacksburg; and her grandchildren, Megan Tilley, Logan Potter, Marley Potter and Garrett Thomas. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
