It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wade Hendricks Jr. of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wade Hendricks Sr. and Kate Phillips Hendricks; and his wife Patsy Short. He is survived by: his children, John Wade Hendricks III (Sally) and Patricia Hendricks Rapp (Dave); and his stepchildren, Carol Anne Bradburn and Charles Matthews. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
