With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thad Kilby of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad David Kilby and Minnie Louise Setzer Kilby; and his siblings, John D. Kilby, Larry Wayne Kilby and Alice Kilby.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen McKinney Kilby; his children, David Kilby (Cheryl) and Leigh Ann Kilby; his granddaughter Savannah Justice; his great grandchild Arabella Rose; and his close friends, Tiny and Kodiak.
