She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hardy and Audrey Sherrill George; her husband Gene Rippy; her son Mike Rippy; her son-in-law Lanny Ollis; her granddaughter Kimberly Thrift; and her siblings, Lloyd, Jack, Bob George, Macy George, Mae Francis, Ora Hawkins, Tootsie Wilkerson and Nancy Jolly.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Rippy (Tracy), Mitchell Rippy (Jodie) and Malinda Ollis of Shelby; her sister-in-law Rosalyn George; her grandchildren, Jennifer Wayne (Robby), Jessica Hawkins (Alex), Erika Rippy, Leslie Ollis and Macy Ollis; her great grandchildren, Drew, Sara and Charlie Wayne; and her grandchildren, Hunter, Haylee Morrison and Joyner Tucker. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family.
