He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Earls and Verdie Putnam Earls; and his siblings, Stanley Earls and Catherine Fortenberry. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Lail Earls; his children, Shane Earls (Tina) of Shelby and Stacy Earls (Chip King) of Rutherfordton, NC; his grandchildren, Luke Earls, Brett Earls, Trey Greene, Jack King, Ava King and Brody Humphries; and his caregivers, Charlotte Randolph and Debbie Robertson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Flint Hill Baptist Church (2207 Flint Hill Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
