With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherri Fortenberry of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 17, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Colon Gold Floyd and Janie Scruggs Floyd; and her husband Carroll. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Hamrick (Jenn); her stepchildren, Scott Fortenberry (Kristina) and Nicole Smith (Victor); her brother Bobby Floyd (Judy); her grandchildren, Mackenzie Hamrick, Cooper Hamrick, Austin Fortenberry Mason Fortenberry, Falon Smith and Jordan Smith; and her nieces, Maranda Queen and Dara Blanton.
