With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shelva H. Cabaniss of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillie Hawkins and Lawrence Hawkins Sr. (Sophia); her husband Robert "Bill" Wilson; and her daughters, Donna Leia Wilson and Debbie Wilson Bridges.
She is survived by: her brother Jimmy Hawkins; her daughters, Denise Rankin (David) and Deedee Canipe; her grandchildren, Amanda Carpenter, John Bridges (Crystal), Matt Rankin, Mike Rankin (Nicole), Siera Canipe and Shane Canipe; and her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Carpenter, Savannah Carpenter, Dakota Carpenter, Mason Carpenter, Carter Bridges, Weston Bridges and Kinsley Rankin.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Double Springs Baptist Church (1130 Double Springs Baptist Church, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
