With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott Blackwood (Kings Mountain, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2022 at the age of 60. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Buddy Blackwood and Blanche Waldrup Blackwood; his wife Amber Blackwood; and his siblings, Pat Blackwood and Mike Blackwood.

He is survived by: his daughters, Samantha Tate (Louiz Nascimento) of Myrtle Beach and Cati Tate of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Gabriel Crotts, Sofie Crotts, Aurora, Alex and Dylan Nascimento; his nephews, Alex Blackwood, Chris Blackwood and Brian Parris; his niece Holly Hudson; and his cousin Johnny Warrick.
