She was predeceased by: her parents, John Samuel and Garva Ella Harrill Blanton; her husband Thomas Hal Dedmon; and her siblings, Beatrix Blanton Ramey (Arnold Ramey), Annette Blanton Cline (T. Ray Cline), Jessie Miles Blanton, John Samuel Blanton Jr. (Louise Brown Blanton), Kennedy Hewitt Blanton (Elizabeth "Lib"), Harrill Lee "Bus" Blanton (Evelyn Gold Blanton) and Robert Eugene Blanton.
She is survived by: her children, Lucretia Caroline (Linda Mazzie), Thomas Hal Dedmon Jr. and James Theodore Dedmon (Karen Ecksein Dedmon); her grandchildren, Vigilance, James Michael and Anna Marie Dedmon; and her caregivers, Ruth Brooks, Gina Collins, Tabitha Morris and Joan Hudson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
