He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Brackett, Jr. and Mildred Miller Brackett; and his brother Thomas Brackett. He is survived by: his sister Peggy McCombs (Elbert) of Douglasville, GA; his sister-in-law Debby Brackett of Moyock, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Dustin Brackett (Anna), Jacob Brackett (Tammy), Michah Brackett (Kristie), Rebecca Thomas, Leah Byrd (Jeremai), Jeremiah Brackett (Sarah), Brian McCombs (Tannis) and Kevan McCombs (Sonya Wheatley).
