With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Beam of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on August 19, 2021 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Beam to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Hamrick and Daisy Olivia Gardner Hamrick; her husband Columbus Hoyle Beam; her granddaughter Pam B. Howell; and her siblings, Joe Hamrick, Tom Hamrick, Kesler Hamrick, Scott Hamrick, Glenn Hamrick, Velva Hamrick and Louise Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Edwin Beam (Rebecca) of Shelby and Annette Beam of Lenoir; her sister Rachel Ballard of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Sally B. Agner (David), Chris Dudley, Beth Yurkovich (Rob) and Norris Howell; and her great grandchildren, Rebecca Agner, Laura Agner, Kevin Agner, Sam Howell and Abby Howell.
