It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Donald Dedmon of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lawson Dedmon and Verdie Horn Dedmon; his wife Ruth Spangler Dedmon; and his siblings, Thomas Hal Dedmon and Lou Jean D. Hamrick.
He is survived by: his son Rodney Kevin Dedmon, Sr. (Myra Royster Dedmon); his grandsons, Rodney Kevin Dedmon, Jr. (Kristyn Funderburke Dedmon) and Kristopher Charles Dedmon (Elizabeth McDaniel Dedmon); and his great grandchildren, Roy Kixxon Dedmon of Shelby, Kolton Wyatt Dedmon of Shelby and Korbin Loyd Dedmon of Shelby.
