He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman Self and Laura Mae Borders Self; and his wife Delette White-Self. He is survived by: his sons, Barry Self (Heather) of Shelby and Ronald Self of Boiling Springs; his sister Donna Kay Reynolds (Richard) of Shelby; his grandsons, Coleman and Jackson Self; his niece Tracy R. Montgomery (Andy) of Shelby; and his friend Gail Morgan of Waco.
