With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Dean Franks of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Doughty Lee Franks and Mattie Luna Franks; and his siblings, Martha Ralston, Rilda Hudson, Elise Haston, Jimmy Dale Franks and Terry Franks.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Hamrick Franks of Shelby; his sister Sue Lewis (Robert) of McMinnville, TN; his daughters, Tammy Brooks (Tony) of Shelby and Tiffany Stewart (Tim) of Mt. Holly; his grandchildren, Tyler Brooks (Kali) of Shelby, Olivia Brooks (Justin) of Virginia, Ivan Stewart (Ashley) of Mt. Holly, Eli Brooks of Shelby and Max Stewart of Mt. Holly; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Reed of Marshall and Pat Starley (Cecil) of Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
