With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert V. Parker of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Robert may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Parker and Madge Lee Bell Parker; and his wife Barbara Ann Bridges Parker. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Parker, Dwayne Parker of Shelby and Mark Parker of Shelby. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150).
