It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Gene Edmondson (Shelby, North Carolina), who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Billy Gene Edmondson; his daughters, Melissa Edmondson, Kathy Tesseneer and Shelia Hopper; and his siblings, Shelia Ann Edmondson and Bruce Edmondson.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Brown Edmondson; his daughter Amy Edmondson (Jose) of Shelby; his sons-in-law, Max Tesseneer of Shelby and Paul Dawkins of Shelby; his sister Debbie Holcomb (Larry) of Rutherfordton; and his sister-in-law Francis Edmondson of Kings Mountain. He is also survived by four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
