It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Darren Ivey of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Luther Ivey and Geneva Hill Ivey; and his siblings, Rev. Randy Ivey and Janice Ivey. He is survived by: his children, Darren Ivey (Kimberly Thornton) of Boiling Springs, Dustin Ivey of Fallston, Thomas Ivey of Fallston, Kristen Ivey of Gaffney and Kimberly Victoria Ivey (Ryan Benson) of Spartanburg; and his grandchildren, Crystal Ivey, Lucas Thornton, Noah Byars, Jaxon Byars, Piper Carson, Quinton Benson and Kaison Benson.
