Rebecca Lynn Blanton Obituary

Rebecca Lynn Blanton, 52, of Shelby, passed away September 24, 2023, at her home.

She was born October 11, 1970, in Washtenaw County, Michigan, daughter of Sandra Adams Piercy and the late Ronald Wilkin Greene.

Rebecca loved her family and her fur babies. She enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially when there was a big family gathering being held.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling. She was an artist, a cook and crafty with anything she touched.

She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

The family will receive friends 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family will gather after the memorial service to share a meal together in remembrance of Rebecca.

In addition to her mother, Sandra, Rebecca is survived by her sons, Jamie Blanton, Shane Blanton, Joshua Duncan, Jordan Blanton, Andrew Outlaw; her daughter, Sissy Blanton (Cobi Oates); sisters, Anna Brelsford (John), Alisia Myers; nephews, Jesse and Joel Thomas; grandchildren, Alex Blanton, Jalyne Blanton, Izzabella Blanton; and numerous extended family members and friends; and beloved dog, Chubby.

In addition to her father Ronald, Rebecca was preceded in death by her brother, Joel Greene; maternal grandparents, Milan and Rebecca Adams; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mae Love Greene.
