He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin "Bud" Lail and Eva Ledford Lail; his wife Carolyn Diane Piercy Lail; his son Randy Lail; and his siblings, Howard Lail, Roy Pinkey Lail, Lloyd Lee Lail and Marilyn Frances Pitchford.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Lail (Teresa) and Todd Lail; his daughter-in-law Vanessa Lail; his granddaughters, Stephanie Justice (Jason), Andrea Yates (Chad) and Jessica Doster (Corey); his great grandchildren, Haley, Brandon, Caleb, Addie, Hannah, Eli, Austyn, Maverick and Caden; his great great grandchild Zachary; and his siblings, Virgil Lail and Susie Bowling. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
