It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Gayton Allen of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Jackson Gayton and Alma "Nanny" Aline Segars Gayton. She is survived by: her husband Lesley Marvin Allen; her sons, Anthony "Tony" Allen, Jason Allen (Krista) and David Allen (Lindsey); and her grandchildren, Dylan Allen, Madison Allen, Silas Allen and Alexis Allen.
