She was predeceased by: her parents, James Paul and Donis Bridges Melton; and her husband Charles Douglas Presson. She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Presson Messer (Jerry) of Gastonia and Diane Presson Ruppe (Bobby) of Shelby; her grandchildren, Brandon Ruppe (Pam), Matthew Ruppe (Kesha), Kyle Messer, Andrew Ruppe (Nicole) and Kelly Messer (Trey McClanahan); her great grandchildren, Levi, Luke, Mason, Marshall and Hattie Ruppe; and her sisters, Rachel Pearson and Margaret McIntyre.
