He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Green Parker and Ethel Morrison Parker; his wife Joyce Peace Parker; his siblings, James Allen "Buck" Parker, Robert Lee Parker, Jesse Jack Parker and Joanne Parker Nanney; his daughter-in-law Joan Marie Maher Parker; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Mauney Parker, Maggie Mauney Parker, Jo Haynes Parker, Rachel Wright Parker and Martin Nanney.
He is survived by: his children, Judith Parker Proctor (Gary) of Fallston and Larry Gene Parker of Shelby; his granddaughters, Jeanmarie Parker of Shelby, Megan Elizabeth Parker of Shelby and Ashley Ann Parker of Shelby; his great grandchildren, Lilly and Violet of Shelby; his siblings, Glen Odell "Vop" Parker, Sr. of Lattimore, Billy Dean "Jake" Parker of Shelby, Margaret Parker Williams of Greensboro, Jewell Aileen "Susie" Clark of Shelby, Mary Parker Denton of Lattimore and Betty Parker Green (Herb) of Granite Falls; and his sister-in-law Lib Ogle Parker of Shelby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
