She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin Lutz and Nancy Gray Coble Lutz; her husband John Carpenter II; and her sisters, Ann Gray Lutz Harry and Susan Lutz Allred.
She is survived by: her brother John Lutz (Kathy); her children, Jennifer Drum (David) and John Carpenter III (Candice); her grandchildren, Nick Carpenter, Nanci Ledbetter (Jason), Sarah Carpenter, Jacob Smith, Morgan Morrow and Mekenzie Drum; her great grandchild Owen Ledbetter; and her pet Allen. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hope Animal Hospital at 1042 Sam Lattimore Road, Shelby, NC 28152.
