He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Howard Darnell. He is survived by: his mother Helen Kinsey Darnell of Shelby; his wife Tammy Whitaker Darnell; his daughters, Mikaela Darnell of Asheville and Emily Drew Menjivar (Christian) of Asheville; and his sister Sheila Spangler (Russell) of Shelby.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Ross Grove Baptist Church (1225 Fallston Rd, Shelby, NC 28150). A reception was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
