He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Thompson Gammons and Laura Myrtle Reamy Gammons; and his grandson Thompson Morris Gammons. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Jeff (Chris), Keith (Danielle) and Julie Scott (Jarrod); his grandchildren, Molly Giordano (Anthony), Noah (Lily), Eliot, Karissa, Evan and Canaan; his brother Jim (Cissy); and his brother-in-law Charles Pyron (Rose).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150).
