He is survived by: his wife Delores McSwain Bowen; his children, Karen Capps (Charles) and Darrell Bowen of Shelby; his siblings, Paul Bowen (Barbara) of Shelby and Patricia Eaker of Shelby; his sisters-in-law, Linda Bowen of Shelby and Jean Bowen of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Ashley Jones (Chris) of Kings Mountain, Brittney Smith (Patrick) of Shelby, Hunter Bowen and Luke Bowen of Shelby; and his great grandchildren, Piper Jones, Taylor Smith and Riley Smith.
