She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Goforth and Katherine Goode Goforth; and her uncle Joe Goforth. She is survived by: her husband Richard Lowery; her children, Richelle Lowery Sajovec (Mike) of Raleigh, Laura Kaye Lowery (Michael Hoyle) of Shelby and Matthew Wells Lowery of Asheville; her grandchildren, Patrick, Jack (Natalie), Sophie Sajovec, Hattie Rose and Lily Padgett; her siblings, Susan Porter (Bill) of Charlotte, Steve of Shelby, Dennis (Peggy) of Shelby and Richard (Linda) of Shelby; and her aunt Sophia Goforth.
The family has requested that memorials be made to Cleveland County Arts Council, 111 S Washington St. Shelby, NC 28150 Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
