With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Lyons of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wesley and Flora McInturff Lyons; his wife Dolores Hayward Lyons; and his siblings, Carroll Lyons, Bessie Clark and Mary Lou Keefer.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Valerie Lyons, Cheryl Lyons, Brenda Holmes, Lisa Green and Mark Lyons. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
