He is survived by: his wife Joyce Allen of Shelby; his siblings, Linda Elrod of Rock Hill, SC, Helen Greer of Greenville, SC, Jerry Allen (Kathy) and Randy Allen of Shelby; his son Ray Allen of Burbank, CA; his stepsons, Terrance Smith (Juanita) and Darren Smith (Angie); his stepgrandson Preston Smith; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Makinzie Smith and Ayden Brown of Shelby. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
