Joseph Glenn Obituary

Joseph Palmer Glenn, age 48, unexpectedly passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, in Shelby. Joseph is a graduate from Crest High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Religious Program Specialist at Camp Lejune. Following his military service, he attended UNC Wilmington where he earned a bachelor's degree with a major in English, minoring in Film. Joseph will be remembered as a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church where he served as a sound engineer and a member of the handbell choir.

He is survived by his parents Ralph and Lynda Glenn, sisters: Jessica Glenn Perry and her husband, Mike from Mooresboro, NC, Joy Glenn Switalski and her husband, Jeff from Concord, NC. Also left to cherish the memory of their uncle are his loving nieces and nephews: Jacob Bridges and his wife, Cherish and grand-nephew, Siller Kai, Sydney Bridges, Alyssa Perry, Mia Switalski, and Olivia Switalski.

A funeral service for Joseph will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Shelby, NC with Rev. Tim Trexler officiating. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center following the service with cake and coffee.
