With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Smith Spivey of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clyde Smith and Francis Kennedy Smith; her husband Eugene Franklin Spivey; her in-laws, John Franklin and Hazel Peacock Spivey; her sisters, Maxine Burnett and Molly King; and her siblings-in-law, Otheda Koonse, H. D. and Thurston Spivey.
She is survived by: her children, Joel Dean Spivey and Donna Spivey Sisk; her grandchildren, Dina Spivey Green, Michael Dustin Spivey and Adam Taylor Sisk; and her great grandchildren, Bella, Shepherd and Della.
