He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Palmer Padgett and Virginia Lowery Padgett; his son Steven Padgett; his brothers, Charles Padgett and James Willard Padgett; and his brother-in-law Maurice Huskey.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Casey Padgett; his daughter Karen Bell (Gary) of Boiling Springs, NC; his grandson Dr. Jacob Bell of Lubbock, Texas; and his sisters, Ellen Huskey of Forest City and Trudi Moore (Bill) of Ellenboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
