She was predeceased by: her parents, George May and Hattie Melton (Ramsey); her husband Roscoe Charles Patterson; her son Gary Patterson; her son-in-law Max Bridges; and her siblings, Ruth Yates, Charles Melton, Ray Melton and Sam Melton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Bridges of Ellenboro, NC, Connie Young (Bill) of Lexington, KY and Kathy Forbes (Jim) of Shelby, NC; her daughter-in-law Darla Patterson of Shelby, NC; her grandchildren, Ashley Craig (Lewis) of Lattimore, NC, John Bridges (Kasey) of Forest City, NC, Zachary Young (Kayla) of Lexington, KY, Taylor Young (Sarah) of Lexington, KY, Chelsea Jones (Jarrett) of Gastonia, NC, Charlie Patterson of Shelby, NC, Brooke Brack (Marshall) of Shelby, NC and Lauren Eskridge (Tony) of Shelby, NC; her great grandchildren, Johnathan Craig, Jeremiah Craig, Jacob Craig, Addison Bridges, Aubrey Bridges, Scarlett Young, Holden Young, Luca Young, Tucker Brack, Aiden Brack, Hadley Brack, Kingsley Drakeford and Emory Eskridge; and her brothers, James H. Melton (Shirley) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Bruce Melton (Sue) of Myrtle Beach, SC.. She is also survived by friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
