He was predeceased by: his mother Patricia Porter; his wife Myla Oaks; and his brother Buster Oaks. He is survived by: his father Virgil Oaks (Dianna) of Shelby; his sons, Jeffrey Oaks and Aaden Oaks of Shelby; and his siblings, Kristy Owen (Reid) of Shelby, Dana Pressley (Matthew) of Kings Mountain, Brad Oaks (Amber) of Shelby and Joe Oaks (Tina) of Forest City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
