He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Marvin Williams and Doris Moring Smith Williams; and his brother Fred Williams. He is survived by: his friend Dr. Joseph Speed; his significant other Hilda Gray Carlyle Williams; his children, Dr. James Carlyle Williams (Kathy), Elizabeth Williams Taylor (Bo) and Daniel Speed Williams (Anne); and his sister Ann Burrus. He is also survived by 16 loving grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
