James Walter Roark Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2022, at the age of 83, James Walter Roark of Shelby, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Roark and Selda Lea Winebarger Roark; and his sister Carol Roark. He is survived by: his wife Alice Hartsog Roark; his daughters, Sandy Rogers of West Jefferson and Brenda Wallace (Justin) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, James Rogers (Rachel) of Wilkesboro and Rebekah Wallace of Jefferson; and his siblings, Arlene McCloud of Belews Creek, Linda Hogan of Marion and Avery Roark (Janet) of West Jefferson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
