Byrd; his son Julian Byrd (Laura) of Grand Island, Florida; his mother Ida Mae Harrill Byrd of Shelby; his grandson Miles R. Byrd; his siblings, Dwight Byrd, Charles Whitworth, Donnie Whitworth of Shelby, Iva Wilson and Gloria Whitworth of Shelby; his mother-in-law Freelove Dawkins; his aunt Geneva Gaddis of Shelby; his sisters-in-law, Faye Philips (Charles) of Shelby and Johnnie McKinney (Robert) of Charlotte, NC; and his cousin Ronald Harrill. He was also cherished by children; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
