He is survived by: his parent Dolly Jefferies Blanton; his wife Mary Brackett Blanton; and his children, Tommy Blanton of Shelby, Jimmie Blanton (Brenda) of Kings Mountain, Ronnie Blanton (Angela) of Lawndale, Linda Hartley (Mike) of Morganton and Beth Bridges (Terry) of Shelby. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
