He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alvin Jackson Secrest and Bertie Lou Wright Secrest; his wife Ginger; his sons, Alvin Jackson Secrest III (Haley) of Cottonwood, Edward Blair Secrest of Raleigh and David Alexander Secrest (Natalie) of Charlotte; his sister Elizabeth (Libby); his brother-in-law Mike Trull of Winston Salem; and his grandchildren, Trotter, Benjamin, Parks and Winnie.
