With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh Lee Peeler of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Hugh Lee shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Hugh Lee farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Osnie Peeler and Mary Margaret Weatherford Peeler; and his wife Pamela Jean Hughes Peeler. He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Weaver Strickland (Jerry) of Shelby, NC; his grandson Bradley Weaver (Savannah Deaton) of Shelby, NC; and his siblings, Joe Don Peeler (Sue) of Lawndale, NC, Bobby Gene Peeler of Ellenboro, NC, Derema Peeler Luckadoo of Casar, NC, Jimmy Steve Peeler (Barbra) of Shelby, NC, Shirley Peeler McWhirter of Lattimore, NC and Kathy Peeler Davis of Lawndale, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel (2518 W Dixon Blvd, Shelby, NC 28150). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Sunset Cemetery (412 W Sumter St, Shelby, NC 28150).
