With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hudson Beam Jr. of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hudson, Sr. Beam and Bessie Mae Helton Beam; his siblings, James Beam (Maida), Derrill Beam and Ruth Beam Bell (Joe); and his son-in-law Rick Mellon.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Frances Young Beam; his daughter Angela Mellon; his sister-in-law Brenda Beam; his brother Ronnie Beam (Brenda); his granddaughters, Whitney Byers Williams and Haley Byers Shaw (Colton); his great grandchildren, Wyatt Hudson Williams, Phillip Shaw and Winston Shaw; and his pet Tassie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
