It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hubert Henry Padgett of Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Padgett and Cordie Goforth Padgett; and his siblings, Calvin Padgett and Beatrice Lavender. He is survived by: his wife Frances Cartee Padgett; his sons, Scott Padgett of Shelby, NC and Tim Padgett (Denise) of Lawndale, NC; his grandchildren, Christopher Padgett (Nathan) of Greenville, SC, Heather Padgett (Tyler Poston) of Lawndale, NC and Zachary Padgett (Amy) of Lincolnton, NC; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne Padgett, Christopher Kale Padgett, Rylan Poston, Scarlett Poston and Sawyer Padgett; and his siblings, Norman Padgett of Ellenboro, NC, Eloise Powell of Ellenboro, NC and Dianne Hewitt of Forest City, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
