She was predeceased by: her father Bobby Gene Hewitt. She is survived by: her mother Patsy Landis Hewitt; her husband Randy Carothers; her daughter Amanda Flynn (Mark Self); her grandchildren, Aaron Flynn (Brooke) and Jordan Flynn (Lauren Poole); her sister Greta Philbeck (David); and her stepgrandchildren, Nathan Self, Cody Self and Madison Self.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Gwen's honor may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
