She was predeceased by: her parents, John Patterson Kirkendall and Hazel Borders Kirkendall; and her daughter-in-law Kimberly Harris Kale. She is survived by: her husband Richard Thomas Kale; her sons, Richard Christian Kale (Jozel) of Shelby, Michael Tod Kale (Dianna) of Hickory, NC and David Anthony Kale of Shelby; and her sisters, Silvia Bradley and Pamela Waldrop (Ken). She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
