She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Wiggins and Lillian Moore Wiggins; her husband William C. Thrift; her children, Harold C. Thrift, Robert D. Thrift and Lillian Gail Hooks; her sisters, Jane W. Thrift and Sadie Dyer; her great grandchild Baby Kimberly Carpenter; and her daughters-in-law, Janice C. Thrift and Vickie A. Thrift.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Joyce Thrift of Kings Mountain and Carolyn Withers (Ron) of Gastonia; her sister Dorothy W. Miller of Bostic; her grandchildren, Chris Hollifield, Tina Hollifield, Ronnie Carpenter, Bill Carpenter and Lee Hambright; her stepgrandson Jeremy Parker; her great grandchildren, Mike, Matt Carpenter and Haley Hambright; and her great great grandchildren, Miles, McKinley and Bryson Carpenter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
